We understand that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used and shared online. We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits this website, nouveauxballetsrusses.com ("Our Site"), and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a manner that is consistent with Our obligations and your rights under the law.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it. Your acceptance of Our Privacy Policy is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Site. If you do not accept and agree with this Privacy Policy, you must stop using Our Site immediately.

In this Policy, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
"Personal Data" means any and all data that relates to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified from that data. In this case, it means personal data that you give to Us via Our Site. This definition incorporates, where applicable, the definition given in Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
"Cookie" means a small text file placed on your computer or device by Our Site when you visit certain parts of Our Site and/or when you use certain features of Our Site. Our current use of Cookies is set out in Our separate Cookie Policy.

2.1 Our Site is owned and operated by The New Generation Foundation - ETS, an Italian ente del terzo settore, registered office at Via Il Prato 58, 50123 Firenze (FI), Italy.
2.2 Nouveaux Ballets Russes is a ballet project created by the Foundation. This Privacy Policy covers Our Site only; it does not cover other websites operated by the Foundation or its other projects (for example newgenerationfoundation.com), which have their own privacy policies.
3. What Does This Policy Cover?
This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Site. Our Site currently consists of a landing page introducing Nouveaux Ballets Russes and a contact form, and links to the website of The New Generation Foundation. We have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites, and We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.
4. Your Rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR, which this Policy and Our use of personal data have been designed to uphold:
- The right to be informed about Our collection and use of personal data;

- Rights in respect of automated decision-making and profiling (Our Site does not currently use either).
If you have any cause for complaint about Our use of your personal data, please contact Us using the details in section 14 and We will do Our best to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of the EU member state in which you live or work.
5. What Data Do We Collect?
Depending on your use of Our Site, We may collect the following:
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, and the content of the message you send Us;
- Marketing/updates consent: if you tick the consent checkbox on the contact form, your agreement to be sent updates about Nouveaux Ballets Russes;
- Search engine visibility data: We use Google Search Console to see how Our Site performs in Google Search results. Search Console does not place Cookies on your device and does not give Us any personally identifiable information about individual visitors — it provides Us with aggregated data about search queries and rankings.
Our Site does not currently have user accounts and does not collect any financial or payment data — ticket purchases for NBR productions, when available, will take place on the website of the relevant venue or box office, not on Our Site.
6. How Do We Use Your Data?
All personal data is processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was collected. We will comply with Our obligations and safeguard your rights under the GDPR at all times.
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Replying to your message, where you contact Us via the form on Our Site. The legal basis for this is Our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where relevant, taking steps at your request prior to entering into an arrangement with you (Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- Sending you updates about the launch of Nouveaux Ballets Russes and its productions, but only where you have given Us your consent by ticking the relevant checkbox on the contact form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time, free of charge, by contacting Us or using the unsubscribe link included in any such email.
We will not use your data for any other marketing purpose, and will not send you unsolicited marketing or spam.
7. How and Where Do We Store Your Data?
7.1 Retention. We keep contact form submissions (name, email address, message) for no longer than 24 months from the date you submit them, unless: (a) you have an ongoing relationship with Us (for example, you remain subscribed to receive updates), in which case We retain your data for as long as that relationship continues, plus a reasonable period afterwards; or (b) you ask Us to delete your data sooner, or We are required by law to keep it for longer.
7.2 Where your data is stored. The backend that receives and stores contact form submissions is hosted on infrastructure provided by DigitalOcean, located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, within the European Economic Area ("EEA").
7.3 Processors We use.
- DigitalOcean hosts the backend and database behind Our Site, within the EEA.
- Resend, a US-based email delivery service, is used solely to relay/forward the notification email generated when you submit the contact form, so that We are alerted to your message. Your submitted data passes briefly through Resend's infrastructure for this purpose, which may involve processing outside the EEA/UK. Where this occurs, We rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.
7.4 Security. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data, including transmitting Our Site over an encrypted (SSL/TLS) connection.
8. Do We Share Your Data?
Other than with the processors named in section 7, We do not share your data with any other third party for any purpose. We may, in certain circumstances, be legally required to share data We hold, which may include your personal data — for example, where We are involved in legal proceedings, complying with a legal obligation, a court order, or a request from a governmental authority.
9. What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?
We may, from time to time, expand, restructure, or transfer control of all or part of Our activities relating to Nouveaux Ballets Russes. Any personal data you have provided will, where relevant to the part of Our activities being transferred, be transferred along with it, and the new controller will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use that data only for the purposes for which it was originally collected. If this happens, you will be informed in advance.

16.2 If you are a consumer, any dispute shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, meaning that you may bring proceedings there or, where applicable consumer protection rules allow, in the courts of your own country of residence.
16.3 If you are a business, any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
